Student Affairs

Elizabeth Cozzolino, Doctoral Candidate in Sociology, leads the Student Affairs Committee. The Student Affairs Committee is concerned with issues of graduate student welfare. This coming year, the committee will focus on the Graduate Student Bill of Rights, a document outlining the protections that graduate students need to successfully complete their degrees.

Throughout the summer, this committee will meet to work on the document and strategize how to get the Bill ratified by the necessary university governing bodies. In the fall, the committee will take the document around to the various schools and colleges, soliciting the feedback of graduate students and making sure that graduate students are aware of their rights.

Please feel free to get involved – no prior organizing experience is necessary. I am interested in hearing about your graduate experience and hope that we can work together to improve the quality of life in graduate school.
